Case study of extensive number of laparoscopic cholecystectomy
procedures, to identify possible complications of this procedure that lead
to open cholecystectomy

Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Division of Gastroenterology

Ten year follow-up treatment of patients with esophageal cancer at
Harbor-ULCA Medical Center. Seventy-seven cases were selected and
classified into three groups: (1) Chemotherapy plus radiation without surgery; (2) Surgery alone; and (3) No intervention. Results showed that
patients with stage IIB/III (local lymph node metastasis) who received
Chemotherapy ad radiation therapy survived longer when compared with surgery alone or no intervention.

Harbor-UCLA Medical Center

Experience of 14 patients with EUS-guided pancreatic pseudocyst drainage and literature review of pancreatic pseudocyst management. In this review, we compared the success rate, recurrence rate, morbidity, and mortality of surgical, percutaneous,
transpapillary, and transenteric drainage of pancreatic pseudocyst.

The results of our study had been published on Medscape 7/18/2002. I was listed as the first author.
